Why do I have Issues with Authority?
Ask yourself a question, whom are you uncomfortable with?
What are you uncomfortable with?
Is it the boss? Is it his attitude? Or is he / she reminding you of another authority figure?
Most of the time, an issue with the authority figure begins earlier in the childhood. In several cases it is the authority of the parent figure which a child or teenager rebels against and later a similar response could get exaggerated against anyone who demonstrates authority in a similar manner.
In a few cases, it could be a teacher figure or a sibling who was perceived as an unpleasant and overbearing authority figure.
When you deal with the boss, you know you are no more a child and your boss is not your father or a childhood authority figure, but the child in you instantaneously reacts and gets affected every time you have to interact with your boss.
There is an inner child or several inner children, who have suffered, felt shattered, felt rebellious and resentful in the past, who keep reminding you to be careful and defensive against the boss all the time.
These are the small little voices you hear when you deal with the boss. The stiffness in various parts of your body is the result of the stress, the inner child in you goes through, out of anticipation of the unpleasantness or sub-conscious, repressed memories from the past.
It's high time you address this inner child, secure this inner child, heal and integrate your inner child so that you can deal with the authority of the boss with adult maturity and reasonable sensibility.
You need to sort out your relationships with authoritarian parents or parent figures and forgive them genuinely. Also work out your unfavorable response to authority in general.
Passive Aggressive Behaviour (PAB) is mostly the cause of issues with authority figures in personal and professional life. You can consider resolving this issue with "Anger Management Meditation"
It might have been too painful to take others' control over you as a child. If you can disassociate pain and unpleasantness from the control / dominance factor, your professional life will become easier.
Step 1: Remember your boss has no control or dominance over your response towards him / her. Exercise your freedom of choosing your response.
Step 2: Review your childhood dominance in a new light. You may have allowed this dominance in order to avoid taking responsibilities at that point of time. The more responsibility you take, the lesser you invite dominance or control from others.
Step 3: Look at the possibility of living in harmony and operating out of team spirit in your environment.

Whom does your boss remind you of? What could be the worst consequence?
Face it. Fear is False Evidence of Artificial Reality.
It is not the boss you are scared of, but the consequences. You are scared of the 'power' that your boss represents. And this stems from the ‘feeling’ that you are powerless. Your sense of powerlessness is empowering your boss to be more powerful. You can reverse or neutralize this situation by empowering yourself !! Get in touch with your own inner strength. The only thing which you need to be really scared of is your tendency to feel scared... Address your fears, address your inner sense of vulnerability, address your past where you felt fearful and vulnerable due to authority figures around you, whom you perceived to be larger than life.

Was this the same feeling you had in your childhood / past too? How did you feel at that time?
It does hurt when you perceive others getting more favors from the boss. There is a possibility that the pattern is an old one and some thing similar happened in the past too. Did you feel that the teacher or a parent or elder sibling favored others over you? The solution is simple. Probably when the child in your perceived that others were favored over you, you developed and reconfirmed this belief and over a period of time you have managed to manifest and proved your belief time and again. Of course there is a hope there is a solution. The beginning happens with the recognition of this pattern. Heal the inner child and address the inner child with inner child meditation or with the help of online guides.
